The role will involve you working with 2 children on a 1:1 basis.
In the morning you will be working with a child in Year 1 with Downs Syndrome who has hearing difficulties and behaviour is good.
The afternoon is working with an Autistic child who has challenging behaviour and who can be very challenging at times.
The school is seeking someone experienced, and they want the children to be learning, not just being supervised.
This will be an interesting, varied role in an outstanding school and they are seeking someone proactive, enthusiastic, consistent and patient.
To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
*Hold a teaching assistant qualification, ideally level 3
*Have experience working with children with ASC in a primary school in the UK
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
