The role will continue until July 2021 at least. This is a full-time role and the salary will be £70-80 per day, depending on experience.

The school requires a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with a range of special needs, so is seeking a flexible and adaptable addition to the team. The role will involve working with a few specific children throughout the day and week. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with children with Autism in Year 1, who are minimally verbal and experience with PECS and Makaton would be an advantage. You will also be working with a Year 6 child with Downs Syndrome on occasions too. However. you will be working with specific children every week, so will be able to build a good working relationship!

Working closely with the school Senco and class teachers, you will need to be a strong communicator, be ready for anything and have a positive, team-focussed approach.

The school is seeking someone with excellent levels of written and spoken English, someone who is patient, perseverant and who will be able to commit until at least the end of the academic year.
