Are you an organised SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Blackburn?

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and experienced SEN teaching assistant to work in highly successful PMLD School based in Blackburn and they are looking for a Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis. You will be providing general support from EYFS - KS4 classes. The role is to start 7th September 2020. The role is a long term with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

The PMLD school is Ofsted rated "Outstanding" with 80 pupils, the school caters for 2 - 19-year olds with a wide range or specific needs such as Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), ASD (Autism) and challenging behaviour.

They are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is Team Teach Trained and has previous experience in a PMLD environment or have worked extensively with learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), some with associated complex needs, ASD (Autism) and challenging behaviours, training will be provided to any successful candidate.

After visiting the school, I was really impressed with the state of the art facilities. This school also encourages a healthy and active approach to every day school life. The school has a welcoming team of staff and a strong and well-structured SLT.

Essential requirements:
*This OFSTED 'Outstanding' PMLD School looking for an experienced Teaching Assistants.
*Team Teach Trained
*Have excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
*Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication
*Passion to ensure every pupil succeeds and reaches their full potential
*An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others
*Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently

The School is easily accessible by public transport with a bus stop 5-minute walk away and free onsite parking with close links to the M65
