Person Specification:

· Do you have Teaching Assistant experience within a primary school setting?

· Do you have personal or professional experience supporting young people with ASD (Autism)?

· Are you able to communicate with non-verbal students using PECS and Makaton?

· Do you have good access to Brent, North-West London?

· Are you adaptable, flexible and nurturing?

This school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start on a full time, long term basis. The candidate will be based in a KS1 class, supporting ASD students who are learning at a lower level. The candidate must have good initiative and be very outgoing.

The school is based in Brent, North-West London, and has great transport links.

Essential requirements:

· Experience supporting young people with Autism / ASD/ASC or learning difficulties.

· Previous support work within a school or other child related experience.

· Enthusiastic, positive and friendly approach.

· A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.

· Must have legal right to work in the UK.
