Tradewind are recruiting! Are you special needs Teaching assistant looking for your next role as a SEN for an established school in central Bristol (Near Bedminster)?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEN teaching assistant with experience of supporting Key Stage 1 students with complex learning needs. This supportive Primary school in Bristol requires the right candidate to support their learners in their emotional and academic development from May and onwards. This is full-time long-term role of one academic year for the right candidate.

School is within easy reach of public transport in Bristol and would be easily reachable through buses across the city. However, it would be walking distance if you live in BS1, BS2 and BS3.
-A strong understanding of students' learning needs in Early years and Key stage 1
-Ability to support the student both academically and emotionally in a calm manner, adhere to safeguarding and behavioural policies always, and show adherence to professional boundaries.
-Strong Phonics experience and knowledge.
- A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to take directions from the SENCO and other Education professionals within the school.
-Ability to manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate appropriately.

Role involves supporting the learners within the class room and sometimes in a group setting inside and outside the classroom. It also involves guiding the student emotionally and behaviorally at times of stress and helping them to overcome their barriers to social interaction and emotional recognition.

Location: Near Southville and City Centre

* Have experience of working with young people in Key stage 1 and SEN.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
