SEN Teaching Assistant

At Tradewind we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with educational needs in mainstream primary schools in Camden. The successful candidate will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, providing essential support to help them achieve their Educational Healthcare Plan goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement personalised learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Support students with Autism and complex learning difficulties in their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living and personal care, as required.

Requirements:

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Previous experience working with students with Autism and complex learning difficulties (preferred but not required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational needs of students

We welcome applicants with backgrounds in childcare, care sector, healthcare, education, psychology, speech and language, and sociology.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Suitable references within the last 24 months
  • DBS certificate (or be eligible to apply)
