Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a hardworking, compassionate & patient Teaching Assistant with experience working with SEN pupils in a mainstream setting.
We are working with a medium sized secondary school on the east side of Cheltenham who are in need of a part time Secondary SEN TA to work with a small amount of children who have varying SEN. The pupil's may have a number of complex emotional and behavioural needs and successful candidate's will need to have experience supporting children with more complex requirements. You will need to be able to (and have proven experience) build string relationships with these students and help to support them in the classes by encouraging them to complete the work and tasks set. Behaviour at the school is good and they have high expectations for all of their students.
The successful candidate will be available 4 days out of 5 and the hours will be 10.25-3.30pm. You will need to be proactive and offer a firm but fair approach.

* Experience working with secondary aged pupils with a range of needs, primarily ADHD, ASD, EBD & SEMH.
* Someone who can communicate effectively & with strong behaviour management skills.
* An enthusiastic individual with high organisational skills and a willingness to learn on the job.
* Someone who is an excellent role model and who actively promotes the skills, attributes and behaviours important in a classroom.
You will be expected to support the teacher with daily classroom activities and provide opportunities to make a difference to the pupils learning.
