This role is to begin immediately and continue for the duration of the academic year. For the right candidate, a permanent role may be available. The hours of work are 8.45am - 3.45pm, Monday to Friday.

With an Outstanding OFSTED rating, this is a school for students aged 2-11 years old who have severe or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or Autism. All classes are organised based on age as well as need and learning style.

You will need to be a reflective and responsive teaching assistant who is willing to go the extra mile for the children and families you are working with. Collaboration and strong team skills are important as you will work in partnership with professionals from education, health and social care to ensure high quality provision for all students. The school has an emphasis on multi-professional teams and the benefits that this provides to students holistically. You will be supported by class staff, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and even music therapists.

This position is for a mid-level Teaching Assistant position. You will be working alongside an SEN Class teacher supporting a class of 10 students. Students are nursery to reception age and require support with severe learning difficulties. Some students also have physical disabilities and require wheelchairs. As a more senior Teaching Assistant, you will support with planning and be responsible for independently running interventions for a group of students. The class uses two different rooms and you will be responsible for children in the second room while the class teacher supports students in the first room. Experience working with nursery aged students, special needs and working independently are highly desired for this role.

*Has a level 2 qualification in teaching and learning
*Is experienced with Autism, Profound or Multiple Learning Difficulties or Severe Learning Difficulties
*Has been employed in a similar role, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
*Is Confident providing 1:1 support and facilitating small groups
*Is a proactive team player
