The school is seeking a patient, caring and perseverant SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2020



This role involves 1:1 support for two SEN students following specific strategies to help them access the school curriculum and to motivate them in their learning. You will be working with these children on a 1:1 basis, both children together and also with them when they are in class.



The pupils have learning delays and cognitive needs and there are some behavioural issues too. They are seeking a calm, firm-but-fair teaching assistant to work with them and to assist them continue with the good progress they have made so far this year. This is to cover a maternity leaver.

In addition to the requirements above, you will also be doing some general teaching assistant duties, including lunchtime cover etc.



Your hours of work will be 8.30am- 4.00pm with 45 minutes lunch, Daily Rate £80.00



The school has parking available and is well served by public transport.


This will be a very interesting, varied role. There will be some challenges but it will be a very rewarding role!

To join Tradewind and be successful as an SEN TA/KS1 you will need to meet the following criteria:


Ideally have at least one years' experience working in a school
Previous experience working with SEN children
Be able to set clear boundaries and expectations of behaviour
You must have the right to work in the UK
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history
