The salary for this role will be £75-80 per day, depending on experience.

This school has a good reputation locally and is oversubscribed. They have children from a broad range of backgrounds and many children have English as an additional language and at the last count, there were over 40 languages spoken by children at the school!
The school has a resource base for children with additional needs and children spend time working here for support as well as in the classroom wherever possible.


The role will involve working with a number of children with special educational needs (SEN) throughout the school. The pupils have a variety of special needs, including behavioral difficulties and autism and the school is seeking someone particularly experienced and knowledgable in these areas. A good understanding of phonics is desirable, as you will be working with at least one child who is at the early stages of learning English, so applicants will be expected to have good levels of spoken and written English. A positive, consistent approach is essential as well as previous experience working with children with special needs, ideally in a school setting. The Headteacher and Senco at the school like to vary the roles for SEN support, so you will be working with a number of children throughout the week.

To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
*Hold a teaching assistant qualification, ideally level 3.
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks being accounted for
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
