This is a part-time, morning only SEN Teaching Assistant, 8.30am - midday, Monday to Friday.
The school require a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with children with Autism, preferably in EYFS, but primary experience is fine. The role will involve working with a Nursery child on a 1:1 basis, who has Autism. He is lovely and has additional needs, including speech and language and some fine motor skills needs - behaviour is good and he has a lot of energy!
You will be required to follow guidance from the SENCO and external agencies to help with speech and language and some work on some exercises provided by an Occupational Therapist.
The school is seeking someone with excellent levels of written and spoken English, someone who is patient, perseverant and who will be able to commit. You should also be prepared to have fun and play with him!
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an "outstanding" school and would be great if you have commitments in the afternoons.
To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
*Have experience working with SEND children in a primary school in the UK
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years of employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
