The Autism TA roles are due to start in January and will involve a handover transition for the children with the role to continue for the next academic year until July 2020.

SEN TA- Autism experienced
KS2 classes
Full time - Start - January 2020
Two form entry primary school- Wood Green, Haringey

You will need to demonstrate previous experience supporting primary school aged children with Autism and must be confident in your understanding approach to supporting the traits. Any skills, training and experience specific to Autism will be of interest.

The roles are to support individual children with mild/moderate Autism in the lower KS2 classes. You will be required to support 1-1 in class and help maintain positive communications.

The school is located in Wood Green close and is accessible by a number of bus routes. Finsbury Park, Turnpike Lane and Hornsey train stations are close by.

The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who:

*Previous experience supporting children with Autism
*Must have knowledge of different communication methods and techniques appropriate for children with verbal Autism
*Committed to the school/pupils and open to development

The person

This role requires someone who is:

*Experienced with Autism
*Friendly, assertive, confident approach
*An ideas person - able to problem solve
*Able to build relationships quickly
*Interested/curious in Autism - keen to understand and assist each child's individual needs
