SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Teaching or Learning Support Assistant available to start in a new post from January in a mainstream Secondary School for a varied role within a cohesive SEN department?

Tradewind is working alongside a supportive school in Hatfield, Hertfordshire who are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to start immediately or from January for the remainder of the academic year!

** Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant - Mainstream school in Hatfield
** Working with various pupils with needs including; Autism, Global Delay, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
** Some SEN or classroom experience is required - must have an engaging and patient approach and a passion for SEN
** £70 to £80 per day - Post will be for the whole 2021 academic year - Starting from January and interviewing ASAP.

Located in Hatfield this highly inclusive School is looking to appoint a general SEN Teaching Assistant to support their professional and dedicated department. This is a friendly school with engaged learners and excellent behaviour throughout. All students are well supported and the schools SEN provision is looking for an additional team member to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. Day to day duties will include support in classes, working alongside specific pupils helping maintain focus, avoid distractions and assist with learning. Leading small groups of pupils on an intervention basis you will need to posses a high ability with numeracy and literacy with a patient and compassionate approach.

The role is for a full time SEN Teaching Assistant however applicants with school SEN Experience able to offer 3 or 4 days will also be considered. This is an ongoing, temporary post required for the rest of the academic year.

The Teaching Assistant must:
** Ideally a degree or other relevant qualifications e.g. childcare
** Have recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant / Learning Supportive Assistant
** Have an energetic, passionate approach and be able to offer commitment and creativity
** Have a positive, can-do attitude
