Do you relate well to male students? Do you have patience and creativity? These qualities will be essential in this role. Working one to one with a male student in Year 8, you will be his main support during the school day, helping him during class time and supporting him to develop communication skills, independence and emotional regulation.

Experience working with learning and communication difficulties as well as Autism is highly desired but not essential. Candidates with professional or personal experience with SEN learners are welcome to apply.

We are looking for someone with the ability to be a positive mentor for the child, providing consistent and individualised support. You will have a strong team around you to provide advice and strategies to implement.

Close to Hillingdon Hospital, this is a Special School for Secondary students. There are around 240 students on the role and most have an EHCP for a learning difficulty and or Autism. Class sizes are small, usually with a maximum of 10 pupils, a class teacher and several TA's in each class.

The Teaching Assistant would:
*Provide 1:1 Support for a male pupil in Year 8
*Work in a Secondary Special School in Hillingdon
*Be a strong behaviour Mentor
*Have experience with or an strong understanding of SEN
