Tradewind Recruitment is working with a good primary school based in Hounslow are recruiting for a 1-1 support staff to support a pupil in year 4 with food anxiety.

The SENCo of this vivid, high achieving school in the heart of Richmond is currently seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with a year 4 pupil who has anxiety around food.
The pupil is high functioning, bright and has good behaviour who requires support over lunch time. The pupil requires to be introduced to the lunch menu and described the food that will be served to settle any anxiety amongst food. From time to time, the pupil may need to be taken to the dining hall to see and smell the aroma of the food to settle any anxiety to make lunch time as comfortable as possible for the pupil.
During the other times, you will be working as a general Teaching Assistant within the year 4 class. Supporting the learning in Maths, English and Science.

The role will involve

*1-1 support for year 4 pupils with food anxiety
*Work alongside the KS2 team to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners that need additional support
*Calm and nurturing manor

The teaching assistant roles are full time, 5 days' week and will be due to start in September 2019 to continue for the full academic year.

you must;

*Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.
*Be a team player - this role requires someone who works well with teachers, pupils and parents
*Demonstrate commitment, dedication and resilience in your previous childcare work
*have an ability to manage sometimes challenging behaviour
*Ideally you will be local to Hounslow or willing to travel to Hounslow
