Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Salary Range: £90 - £110 daily rate

About the Role:
We are currently collaborating with a vibrant primary school located in the heart of Islington. In need of a SEN Teaching Assistant who will be instrumental in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This role offers a unique chance to work closely with children who have special educational needs, particularly those with Autism, and to further develop your skills in this area.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

Assist students in accessing the curriculum and actively participating in classroom activities.
Support students in developing and using effective communication strategies, which may include the use of visual aids, picture exchange systems, or assistive technology.
Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement behavior plans and strategies that promote positive behaviors and address any challenges that may arise.
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that caters to the sensory and social needs of autistic students, while also facilitating their social interactions and engagement with peers.
Provide one-on-one guidance and tutoring to reinforce concepts covered in class and help the student excel in their studies.
Work closely with the school's inclusion team to implement individualized strategies for the student's educational and personal development.
Collaborate with small classes consisting of students with mixed abilities and age groups, providing tailored support to meet their diverse needs.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have:

Previous experience working with SEN students or individuals with special needs, which is a must.
Knowledge of effective communication strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for enabling the academic success and personal growth of students with diverse needs.
