As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the education and well-being of students with diverse learning needs. You will work closely with classroom teachers, SEN-Co, and other professionals to provide tailored support to students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students with SEN in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN-Co to implement personalised learning plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help students develop essential academic and life skills.
- Assist with behaviour management and the promotion of positive behaviours.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external professionals.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
- DBS on the Update service (or willing to apply for one)
- A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Teamwork and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
