**About the role**
The position we're recruiting for is as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small group sessions. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with Autism and will understand how best to get the most out of students with a caring and calm natured approach. The school can provide some additional training in certain key areas but would like candidates with a strong knowledge of now and next, how to engage students and keep them enjoying their work without too many distractions, but noticing the trigger points and dealing with these efficiently. Experience of working with challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential for this post. This position will be based in EYFS and KS1 so a desire to work with the younger students would be best and knowledge of the EYFS curriculum as well.

This mainstream Primary School is a three form entry and is based in Tower Hamlets. They have a wonderful set up that is geared towards making the school a place of learning and enjoyment. Attendance across the school is strong and above borough average meaning students and parents like the school and love sending their students into learn. When in School students have access to an ICT suite, a cooking kitchen and a sports hall. Students work is celebrated and from a visit to the school I was amazed by the amount of fantastic student work that adorned the walls, one student told me they were proud to see their work greeting people as they came through the school doors for the first time.
