Due to complications in education due to COVID-19, and the unprecedented situation that we have found ourselves in, Tradewind have received a higher volume than normal of Teaching Assistant requests, for long term placements, for at least the first term of the year academic year (until Christmas), starting in September 2020. One of these roles is a part-time role, mornings only at a local Malton School. The school are looking for an Autism specialist to support a boy on a 121 basis ongoing.


This is the perfect opportunity for an established teaching assistant, or for a graduate interested in a career in teaching. Having a subject specialism in KS1 and experience of Autism is necessary. Knowledge of Phonics and the Primary curriculum is advantageous.

The role:

* Assisting the teacher in the delivering work with the child
* Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
* Undertaking observations of the pupil and contribute to pupil records
* Abiding by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g. behaviour management, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities
* Carrying out the above duties in accordance with the Children's Services Department's Equal Opportunities Policy.
