SEN Teaching Assistant
Attention all experienced Teaching Assistants!
Tradewind recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work with a child with autism within a Morecambe primary school. As a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the teacher and pupil both in and out of the classroom setting. You will also be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for the child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Provide one-on-one support to a pupil with autism
- Help pupil with autism to develop social and communication skills
- Implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment
The hours of work are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, offering a stable and consistent work schedule, with daily pay rates of £78-£85. This role is to start ASAP and will continue for the full academic year, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
- NVQ level 2 qualification
- Experience of working with children with ASD
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
