** About the School - Newham - SEN TA - September start**

This three-form entry Primary School in Newham, is a large culturally diverse Primary School that represents children from over 30 countries. Senior Leadership is extremely supportive and each Key Stage is supported by an Assistant Headteacher.

The school believes that every child deserves the best education that the school can give them despite any challengers. Their priority is to create a successful learning culture which will enable the children to become informed, confident, enthusiastic, inspired and independent learners for life. The school was built four years ago and benefits from being a bright and light modern space, which can accommodate all the children and staff easily. They are well-resourced and have measures in place to keep staff and children safe during Covid.

As the successful SEN TA, you will support a child/children with EHCP plans. At the moment, the year group is flexible as the school will allocate the children depending on the successful candidate's preference and experience. You will be supported by the relevant class teacher and Senco.

**As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant you will**

have recent experience of working with children with special educational needs
have some knowledge of PECS and Makaton
be confident working with a variety of age groups
be able to commit for the academic year commencing in September 2020

Job Requirements

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
Experience of working as a SEN Teaching Assistant preferably in Newham or neighbouring boroughs.
