SEN Teaching Assistant at a Primary School in Woodford Green, Redbridge
Join the dedicated team at this wonderful primary school located in Woodford Green, Redbridge as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. Tradewind Recruitment seeks a passionate individual to support in KS1 starting in January 2024.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists to create and implement effective learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer individual or group support sessions to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to assess students' progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
- Salary: £85-90 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications).
