The Academy is looking for someone with enthusiasm, passion and true dedication. The position is both long-term and full-time.

The role will involve you working as part of a small, specialised team to work with students with Autism (ASC) as a special needs teaching assistant. The students in the groups have various levels of Autism, with some children being non-verbal and some with some language skills which are currently developing.

This is a specialised role and the school is seeking a candidate who has experience working and supporting with children with ASC, ideally in a school setting. You should be able to offer and display strategies that can really help children to develop their language skills, whilst having at least a basic knowledge of PECS and Makaton is essential.

Their ideal candidate will be an aspirational team player, demonstrate high levels of ambition and optimism for both themselves and their students and be determined to make a real difference in the lives of those they teach.

*Ideally have at least one years' experience working in a school
*Previous experience working with children with ASC
*have a good understanding of Autism (ASC) & ADHD
*You must be adaptable, caring and passionate about SEN
*Be patient and caring with the ability to build rapport with the children
*You must have the right to work in the UK
*Your CV must cover the last 10 Years of employment history

The role begins September 2020 and will be full-time, long-term.
