SENTA - Full time

Are you a Teaching Assistant experienced supporting Special Educational needs? Tradewind are working with a primary school in Sheffield with an IR unit seeking a full time TA to work on a one to one basis with a new student with Autism, who is non verbal.
Previous experience of working with Autism and a thorough knowledge of the challenges faced by autistic learners is needed, knowledge of Makaton would also be useful for this role as would a Team Teach qualification although this is not essential.
A calm and nurturing approach is needed for this role and the successful person will be supporting the pupil in all aspects of the their day in line with their IEP including at break and lunch time.
The school has an IR unit where your learner will be based for much of the day, the unit is well resourced to support learners with Autism and you will be part of a highly experienced SEN team.

Pay £70.00 - 85.00 per day
