Communication and Language Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant with a specialism in supporting communication and language? Tradewind are working with a school in the Sheffield area requiring a TA to support all aspects of communication and language across primary key stages to start as soon as schools re-open after lockdown. This role would be particularly suitable for a speech and language graduate as well as qualified TA's with the relevant classroom experience.
The successful person should have experience supporting additional needs in small groups or on a one to one basis, particularly Autism. You will be supporting development in all aspects of communication both verbal and written. Experience using phonics packages including Read, Write Inc and Jolly Phonics would be beneficial for this role.
Some of the students you will be working with have specific needs and will be working in line with an Individual Learning Plan, so your role will involve ensuring that all aspects of this are adhered to.
You will need a calm, patient and nurturing approach to developing positive behaviour in these children and a joy for learning.
The school is a large multi form entry primary school, it is well resourced with a committed and experienced team of educational professionals. There is a Covid risk assessment in place which will be shared with all staff before commencing work and staff will have access to a secure and private car park for use during the day.
Pay £70.00 - £89.00 per day
