Tradewind are working with a primary school in the South Sheffield area requiring a Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Year 1 with ASD. The appointed person will be required to work with the student through all lessons and supervise them at break and lunch time. You will be working closely with the class teachers to ensure that the curriculum is adapted to your child's needs in line with their IEP.
Previous experience supporting autistic learners is required for this role as is an understanding of the barriers faced by autistic learners in accessing the curriculum. You should have a calm and nurturing approach and a Team Teach qualification or similar qualification would be useful for this role.
The school has an experience team of SEN professionals including an established SENCO who will support you in this role. You will also have access to a private and secure car park for use during the day.
Pay £68.00 - £76.00 per day
