The role is based with a student in Year 2 who has Autism and strong behaviour needs. This position requires someone to work in a one-to-one basis with the child until the end of the academic year. This child has a passion for football and relating problem solving in class to his interests helps him to understand new theories.
The school requires someone who has had previous ASC experience and it is essential that they have a firm but nurturing attitude so that they can control his behaviour. All applicants must be able to commit to a role until the end of the year and be passionate about working with one student on a daily basis.

Here are the specifics:

*Full time role starting in January - Hours 8.30am-4.00pm
*Working 1:1 with a child with autism and behavioural needs
*Experience with ASC is crucial
*Strong character and ability to work one-to-one is vital
*Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum is important
*Committed Teaching Assistant who's reliable and punctual to work
*Someone who is able to work closely with the parents of the child

To access the school, you can take the Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf or take the DLR to South Quay station. The closest bus station is besides Canary Wharf station where numerous bus routes can be taken. Warning - there is no parking available at the school.
