Tradewind Recruitment is proud to collaborate with a reputable mainstream Primary School in Chingford, Waltham Forest, offering an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.

Role Overview:

In this rewarding role, you will provide vital 1-1 support to a pupil with specific medical requirements in the Reception class. Your compassionate and nurturing approach will ensure the student receives tailored assistance to access the curriculum and thrive in the learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised support to the identified pupil, enabling their full participation in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere within the classroom.
  • Assist with the pupil's medical needs in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with medical requirements, is advantageous.
  • Ideally you will have some experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for enhancing the educational experience of pupils with diverse needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school setting.

Salary and Hours:

  • Competitive daily rate of £90-£95, reflective of experience and expertise.
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Term time only, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
