Tradewind is looking for SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience to work in a SEN School for pupils who are visually impaired, deaf-blind, have profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.
The role will require you to work with secondary aged students and to start in January. This is a full-time role to work until the end of the academic year with the potential for the role to continue into the new academic year as well. The class has 7 pupils aged 11-16 with challenging behaviour, ASD, Physical & Emotional Needs, Non-Verbal and will require personal care.
Patience, adaptability, compassion and dedication will be key to success in this role. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be responsible for working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis aiding them with the educational opportunities available to them.
For this role we are looking for:
*An experienced teaching assistant who has worked with children with SEN
*A proactive team player, who is flexible and friendly
*Someone who is confident providing 1:1 support
*Someone to help children understand instructions through repetition and adaptation
