SEN Teaching Assistant
The role will require you to work with secondary aged students and to start in January. This is a full-time role to work until the end of the academic year with the potential for the role to continue into the new academic year as well. The class has 7 pupils aged 11-16 with challenging behaviour, ASD, Physical & Emotional Needs, Non-Verbal and will require personal care.
Patience, adaptability, compassion and dedication will be key to success in this role. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be responsible for working with a pupil on a 1:1 basis aiding them with the educational opportunities available to them.
For this role we are looking for:
*An experienced teaching assistant who has worked with children with SEN
*A proactive team player, who is flexible and friendly
*Someone who is confident providing 1:1 support
*Someone to help children understand instructions through repetition and adaptation
Based in Wandsworth, this Ofsted rated 'Good' is one of the largest SEN Schools in the borough and is one of only 48 special schools designated as a 'National Support School' boasting a national reputation for their specialism in being a Sensory and Physical school.
