Role Responsibilities:

Life Skills Instruction: Develop and implement engaging lessons to teach students essential life skills, including but not limited to communication, time management, and problem-solving.

Cafeteria Management: Guide students in the operation of the school cafeteria, promoting independence in meal planning, preparation, and service. Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and responsibility.

Collaboration with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers and other professionals to tailor support for individual students, ensuring a holistic approach to their educational and personal development.

Progress Monitoring: Track and assess students' progress in acquiring life skills, providing regular feedback to both students and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or related fields. Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

Team Player: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Passion for Inclusion: An unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
