Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking to work in mainstream Secondary schools?
Tradewind Hertfordshire are working with a large, over subscribed academy in Welwyn Garden City who are looking for 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistants or General Special Educational Needs Classroom Teaching assistants from January.
** SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary school located in Welwyn Garden City
** Working on an individual basis with pupils with Autism, global delay and Social Emotional Mental Health Difficulties.
** Open to all experience levels - from Graduates looking to gain school experience and experienced Teaching Assistants who are looking for long term or permanent contracts.
** £75 to 85 per day - starting January 2021 the post will be for the whole 2020/21 academic year leading to a permanent contract from September 2021.
Located in Welwyn Garden City this academic and supportive Secondary Academy are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to support their a students within their SEN department. Pupils have a range of requirements from catching up on the last 6 months, Autism, SEMH and other behavioural difficulties. The school is well known for it's support for SEN Pupils and has state of the art facilities, intervention rooms and utilises their outside school space well. As an oversubscribed and diverse school you'll be expected to support each and every student or group with enthusiasm and professionalism.
The school have excellent links with local universities and offers a tailored training plan for all staff. The post is offered on a temporary basis initially with permanent contracts available from September 21 for the right applicants.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
** Hold a degree (in any subject) or other relevant experience / qualifications e.g. childcare
** Have recent experience in childcare, working as a TA/LSA, or with young people with SEN requirements
** Have an infectious energy, creative approach and be able to remain professional and committed at all times.
** Be available from January 2021 and able to commit to the school on a long term basis for the 2021/22 academic year.
