We are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant for a school situated close to the town centre of Wigan. This is a long-term temporary role starting in September 2021 and will run until July 2022; however, it may continue dependent on funding.

The school is a one form entry Ofsted "Outstanding "Church of England primary school. The staff all work together to provide a caring, nurturing environment, strongly based around a Christian ethos, in which their learners will be loved and nurtured in such a way as they in turn develop a respect and tolerance for all.

The school is based in Wigan, has excellent motorway links with the M6 and is situated directly on a main public transport route.

This primary school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their Year 1 class working with a child on a 1-1 basis. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management, experience of supporting children with physical impairments and high sensory needs and fine motor skills.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role you will need to:

• Hold a L2 or above Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification
• SEN experience including complex and sensory needs.
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
