Tradewind are working with a prestigious private SEN school who are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to start ASAP, Fulltime. The school hours are 8:30 to 4:30PM.

The pupils may have a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum, moderate learning difficulties, emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated complex needs.


Job Purpose
*To support pupils in their learning and development in small groups or with individual pupils as directed treating them with respect and consideration
*To help raise standards of achievement for all pupils
*To encourage the social and emotional development of pupils
*To encourage pupils to participate in all aspects of school life
*To help pupils to become more independent
*To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
*Responding to IT malfunctions by carrying out basic checks and where necessary requesting appropriate technical assistance.
*Maintaining attendance figures.
*Any other duties as directed by the Head Teacher/Teacher/HLTA.

ESSENTIAL
*Basic literacy and numeracy skills
*Willingness to participate in a general LSA induction programme
*Experience of working with children with special education needs
*Actively enjoys working with children and has empathy with pupils and is sympathetic to their needs
*Flexible approach to tasks
*Firm, sensitive and effective approach towards pupil discipline
