Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, including assisting with personal care tasks as needed.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring that each student's individual needs are met.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, parents/carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN, including assisting with personal care, is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine passion for supporting students' holistic development.
  • Willingness to undergo training in personal care tasks and adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
