The Successful candidate will have SEN experience and prior experience teaching PMLD/SLD children. The school is a complex needs school based in Southwark. You will need to be confident in using Makaton.

This is a really friendly complex needs school, offer all children a right to an education, the school is built to meet the needs of all their students, the school aims to help pupils gain confidence, so they can progress to employment and training. The school is a mixed 11-18 school for pupils with a variety of needs. The school has 100 pupils on roll who have a variety of needs including Down's Syndrome, Autism, ADHD and complex medical needs. The majority of the pupils have speech and language difficulties.

The school want to recruit dedicated and passionate teaching assistants who have the drive to get the pupils to succeed in their daily lives. The committed TA will have experience working with SEN students and have knowledge of working with severe to moderate learning disabilities.
*Have recent experience of working within an educational setting
*Have a degree in related subjects and an eagerness to work in a school setting.
*Worked with students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
*Have experience supporting Secondary Pupils
