**As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant you will**
have recent experience of working with children with special educational needs
have some knowledge of PECS and Makaton
be confident, calm and patient
have great written and spoken English
be available to commit until July 2021
The school is based in Newham - a culturally rich and diverse East London borough. The school was recently rated "Good" by Ofsted, and particular mention of the provision and care given to children who require extra support. As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be asked to support a child or children ( depending on their needs) in Year 5 or Year 6.
At the moment their are a few children with specific learning difficulties who depending on your experience, you will be assigned to. This is a five day a week full-time role from September 2020 - July 2021.
It is vital for the children who hugely benefit from consistency, that were you to be successful , you can commit to the year.

Job Requirements
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
Experience of working as a SEN Teaching Assistant preferably in Newham or neighbouring boroughs.
