Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant keen to work in your local borough?
A large mainstream primary school in Newbury Park, Redbridge would like to appoint a teaching assistant to support a child with Autism in Year 1. You will be supporting the pupil on a 1-1 basis and will be involved in.
The hours are 8.30am to 4pm and the role is term time only from September 2020 to July 2021.
You will need to be someone who demonstrates a calm, assertive, nurturing approach and must have experience working with children who have autism.
The school is looking for an SEN TA who:
Practical knowledge of Autism
Practical experience and knowledge of Makaton, PECS, Social stories, Speech and Language
Has at least 6 months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
Commitment to the school and open to development
Graduates with backgrounds in Psychology, Music or Drama would also be of interest

The school is based in Newbury Park, Redbridge and is rated outstanding in their most recent Ofsted inspection. The headteacher is long established and the school has consistently achieved excellent results in recent years with clear strategies in place to ensure rapid progress is made for pupils from their first day at the school. This is a school with high morale amongst staff and whereby a positive climate is created for learning. Behaviour is excellent and children are encourage to take responsibility for their own behaviour. You will be joining a brilliant team of staff!
