An Outstanding, Independent School in the heart of East London is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for September, are you a dedicated and versatile SEN Teaching Assistant who is patient, calm and committed?

Do you have recent experience of supporting children on the Autistic Spectrum or other learning difficulties in a Primary School? If so, Tradewind Recruitment wants to hear from you!

This coveted role commences in September and the school is offering long-term pay rates of between £70 - £90 a day, depending on experience.

This non-selective and inclusive independent school is a co-educational day school for primary aged pupils set in large grounds near Victoria Park. Parents are invested in their children's learning and behaviour is excellent. There is a higher than normal adult to child ratio and class sizes are smaller than average. The school was established in 1948 and has grown from a one -form to a successful three-form entry school. There is a state of the art performance studio.

As the successful SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have good knowledge of the primary curriculum and have confidence supporting children with a variety of special educational needs. You will support the teacher to ensure that high standards of behaviour, appearance and punctuality, and a purposeful attitude to work are met. At all times, you will be expected to uphold the good name of the school and maintain confidentiality.

The school are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who possess the following qualities:

Recent experience of supporting children with special educational needs in a primary school
Sound knowledge and understanding of the British UK curriculum
Great inter-personal skills
Team player
Good written and spoken English

Job Requirements

Hold QTS status or equivalent Music teaching qualification
Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered if you have a comparable qualification with a UK teaching qualification and you can comply with the other points
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
