SEN Teaching Assistant with Brailed

Sanza Teaching Agency are working exclusively with a primary School in Hackney to find an exceptional and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child joining Reception in September 2021. The pupil is visually impaired and requires a 121 support who can teach her to use braille.

Person Specification

For this post, you must be an assertive and caring Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role. You will provide a willingness to contribute to all lessons and overseeing the preparation of lessons for this pupil. You must have the skills to confidently face challenging situations with a calm and collective approach. Previous experience supporting students is an essential requirement of this role.

About the Role

You will be working both in and out of the classroom to support this pupil. Being new to school this pupil needs routine and consistency, so a TA with excellent organisational skills, dependable and hardworking is a minimum requirement. You will also be energetic and capable of supporting in the delivery a slightly alternative curriculum.
