Special Needs Teacher - Autism

£130-200 daily

A forward-thinking primary school in Lambeth with a strong emphasis on Inclusion - you will be applying for a position in the Centre for Autism.

SANZA are looking for a teacher to cover a maternity period, starting soon!

The right candidate will have a passion for securing the best outcomes for students who have a diagnosis of ASD.

The successful applicant will be passionate and creative, with knowledge, skills and experience of teaching students with ASD in the primary phase. Applicants will be committed to teaching students in the Resource Base and ideally have direct experience of teaching SEN/ASD.

You will work in a class of up to 8 pupils, all with a diagnosis of autism, and be part of a team with two support staff.

Key tasks will include ensuring organisation of the class and delivery of interventions and strategies suited to the needs of children with a diagnosis of ASD.

FYI: For a short time only we are registering candidates over the phone. In the next couple of weeks, the REC will require attendance to our office, so now is as good a time as any to jump on board with SANZA!

The location:

The school is very accessible by public transport; bus and train; and has free parking local to the premises.

You! To join us in being successful in applying for this role, you will be:

*A QTS qualified Teacher - with priod experience teaching SEN/ASD pupils

*A committed learning support assistant with a record of raising attainment for SEN pupils

*Energetic and enthusiastic about making learning accessible, enjoyable and enduring

*Experience of working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum

*A strong communicator with patience and passion.

The admin:

To be successful for this role, you will need an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), professional reference checks, a full 10 years of employment history with any breaks explained, and the legal right to work in the UK.
