This is a full-time role and the salary will be £75-80 per day, depending on experience.

The Role:
Role will involve working with a child in Year 1 who will be joining the school in January.
Still awaiting a full diagnosis of his special needs, but he has autism, along with some emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Parents take an active role in his education and you will be in regular contact with them, so excellent communication skills are important.
The day will be a balance of SEN work and mainstream TA work and is likely to involve working with him in the mornings in and out of the classroom and then possibly as a general teaching assistant in the afternoon.

Experience of working with children with SEND, especially autism, in a primary setting is essential. The school is seeking someone positive, patient and who is consistent with rewards and sanctions. Whilst the child is verbal, applicants with experience of using PECS and Makaton are welcome.

To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
*Hold a teaching assistant qualification, ideally level 3
*Have experience working with SEND children in a primary school in the UK
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years of employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
