Tradewind Recruitment are working with a outstanding special school in Dudley. Who are looking for 5 Learning Support Assistants who have experience in supporting pupils with special needs. The school is for pupils across KS2, 3 and 4; You will support teachers to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.

You will aid to enhance the learning environment for the pupils, supporting teachers to promote personal development and well-being for all. You will work on your own initiative to help setup the classrooms and activities, lead on small parts of lessons or group work, keep records to track progress and contribute to lesson planning when needed. It is essential you are aware of pupil progress and able to flag potential concerns. Safeguarding the welfare of the young people in our care will be your primary responsibility.
The successful applicant will :

*Possess excellent behaviour management skills
*Be able to build trusting relationships with both staff and pupils
*Have the confidence in working on their own initiative in addition to reliably work to instruction when needed.
*The ability to contribute to the development of the school and work to their ethos.
