The school is seeking an experienced teaching assistant, who has a strong background of working with children with Autism (ASC). The role will involve you working as part of a team with up to 8 children from a variety of primary year groups, in a specialist class. The children have a range of ASC levels with some non-verbal and some with quite low levels of language.

The school is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with recent experience of working with pupils with ASC in a school. You should have a passion for this type of role and be able to use strategies to help children with their language development. You should be engaging and be a great communicator as well as a good team member.
PECS and Makaton experience would be very welcome.

This is a full-time role and the hours of work will be 8.30am- 3:45pm with 30 minutes for lunch, with a daily rate of £70- £80, depending on experience.

The school is well served by public transport.

*Ideally have at least one years' experience working in a school
*Previous experience working with pupils with ASC
*Be able to set clear boundaries and expectations of behaviour
*You must have the right to work in the UK
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history
