We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant at a secondary special needs school in Manchester for young people aged 11-16 with Autism & Complex Needs.

Starting in ASAP.

Full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm.

Temp to perm for the right person.

Excellent pay up to £90/day

Paid PAYE direct by Tradewind.

• You will need to offer a holistic approach involving academic, emotional, behavioural, pastoral and physical support.
• You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
• Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to deliver the best outcomes for your pupils.
• Sometimes you may need work 1:1.
• Some young people require Personal Care including toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
• Some require Moving & Handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
• Most pupils are working on the Engagement Model of learning which focuses on 5 main areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, Persistance & Initiation.

• This is a special needs school in Manchester for secondary aged children with Autism, Complex Needs.

To join us and be successful in this SEND Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 professional references.
• Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Some experience supporting children or young adults with special needs.
