Vacancy for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) - Year 1 Location: Shadwell, Tower Hamlets Type: Full-time (Term time) Salary: £90 - £100 daily rate October 30th - July 23rd 2024
Are you a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners? If so, we have a rewarding opportunity for you to work one-on-one with a Year 1 student with unique needs.
About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEND TA to work with a non-verbal Year 1 student with global developmental delay. The student is at an engagement level two model and requires dedicated support to reach their full potential. Key responsibilities include:
1. One-on-One Support:
Provide one-on-one support to the student, tailoring activities and teaching methods to meet their individual needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages their development and engagement. 2. Assist with Personal Care:
Offer assistance with the student's personal care needs, including nappy changes.
Ensure their physical comfort and well-being. 3. Utilise Technology:
Operate both iPads and PCs to enhance the student's learning experience through assistive technology. Implement digital tools and applications that support the student's communication and education. 4. Experience in SEND Schools:
Bring your extensive experience in SEND schools, understanding the challenges and rewards of working with students with diverse needs. Create a supportive and nurturing environment that enables the student to thrive. Qualifications and Attributes: To excel in this role, you should have:
Proven experience working with non-verbal students with global developmental delay. The ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to ensure the student's progress. A positive and patient attitude, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in using both iPads and PCs to support the student's learning. Why Join Us:
