A primary school in Wythenshawe are recruiting for a specialist Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in their reception class.

The pupil has recently been awarded funding for support and has a EHCP for ASC; requires support with speech, language and communication, sensory support, mild behaviour support and some element of personal care.

To be considered for this position you must have relevant experience supporting children with ASC and ideally have experience of delivering speech, language and communication support. Having experience with in early years will also be a benefit but not essential.

This one form entry school caters for children from 2-11 years old; everything they do is designed to provide an active learning environment where children want to learn and want to succeed. They aim to provide a school where children feel confident, safe, cared for and stimulates their creative and self-worth.

Ofsted last visited the school in September and graded it as a good school. They commented on the schools calm and caring approach they have to learning and that pupils thrive both socially and emotionally. As a result of this pupils learn well.
Pupils behaviour is good around the school and they enjoy the wide range of trips the school offer which brings life to their learning.
