Are you a compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDco/SENCo) looking for an exciting new role?

Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by a 'Good' in all areas Special Educational Needs school and Residential home to assist them with the appointment of a SENDCo to join their team as soon as possible. This unique community setting is situated in the stunning rural area of South of Norfolk easily accessible from parts of Suffolk. The role is to start immediately until Easter at least, with the role likely to be either extended or made permanent following a successful term.
This private community and specialist SEN provision support vulnerable children and young people with a holistic, residential and education service, providing them with everything they need to learn, build confidence and flourish. As SENDCo your role will involve you taking responsibility for SEN learning throughout the school and you will be keeping parents informed about their child's progress. Working successfully alongside external agencies will be a crucial element to your role to ensure that children make sufficient progress and achieve their full potential.
The successful SENDCo will:
*Have high expectations of self and others and is passionate about encouraging all pupils to achieve success.
*Be ambitious to support and extend the learning opportunities for all of the pupils.
*Have a commitment to working in partnership with the Therapy team: Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, other staff, parents and the community.
*Have drive, enthusiasm and a clear vision for achieving educational excellence for children with autism.
*Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
*Have a real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with.

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Cover the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
