Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lewisham, London

Term: Term time only, January 2024 - July 2024

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Start Date: January 2024

Daily rate: £80 - £100 per day

Our partner school is renowned for its inclusive and supportive ethos, and they are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to be part of their team.

Role Description: As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive the support they require to excel in their studies. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Working with individual or small groups of students with Special Education Needs

· Implementing strategies outlined in students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

· Providing one-on-one support to enable students to access the curriculum effectively

· Monitoring and recording student progress

· Collaborating with teachers and the SENCo to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment

Requirements:

· Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students with diverse learning needs

· A valid DBS check or the willingness to obtain one

· Knowledge of various special educational needs, e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, etc., is advantageous
