Initially the role will be to support a KS1 pupil in class, whilst collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO. Ideally, you will have experience of working with children with special educational needs and possess the ability to form a positive and consistent relationship with the pupil.
You will:
* Understand and support the principles of inclusion for all pupils;
* Be able to model excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Have a good understanding of how children learn and an awareness of how to support children with additional needs;
* Have experience of working with children, including pupils with SEND;
* Have a calm and consistent manner;
* Be committed to raising standards;
* Be able to liaise closely with teachers.
